WSJT-X Software<\/strong><\/span>
K1JT, Joe’s WSJT software made EME possible for average terrestrial stations. The new WSJT-X added additional features like Doppler-Compensation and new modes like QRA64 (used manly on 6 and 3cm EME). You may download it for free at: https:\/\/wsjt.sourceforge.io\/wsjtx.html<\/a>. We have used it with great results from 50 MHz to 10 GHz EME. On Joe\u2019s home-page you also find all needed information how to operate WSJT and EME.<\/span><\/p>\n

This are chat-rooms where EME operators meet to share online-information about their activity. It is a great place to get the feel for the activity on EME. You easily find almost any time a sked-partner for a test or you see where to listen for signals!<\/span>

Please NEVER post data of ANY ongoing QSO on the logger. It is okay to exchange <\/span>details of the test <\/span>after a QSO is finished or after a sked failed. It is very important that you help to make sure there are NO QSO’s made thanks to information obtained via the logger and not off the moon! Many thanks!<\/span><\/p>\n

Minimum requirement to work HB9Q on EME<\/span><\/h1>\n

With the introduction of WSJT (many thanks Joe, K1JT!!!) a new world was open-up for many VHF, UHF and SHF weak signal operators. It\u00a0is now possible to work VHF and UHF EME on a regular base using just 1 yagi (even a small one) and 100 W (or even less!!!).\u00a0With such equipment it is not only possible to work the few very big guns, NO, it definitely is possible to work several if not many stations. And on the microwave bands it is enough to have an avarage Tropo station to work the big guns and even the bigger mid-size stations.
